From 1994-1999: member of the European Parliament: member of the Budget- and Budget Control Committee, deputy chairman of ELDR (the European Liberal Democratic Party), member of the Special Committee on Inquiry on Transit Transports.
Since 2002 chairman of the Five-Man Committee (the Danish Ministry of Education's Committee concerning Danish Cultural Affairs in South Schleswig.)
From 2000-2004: chairman of the Council of the Danish Atlantic Treaty Association.
Since 2002 member of the Board for the European Centre for Minority Issues (ECMI).
From 1990-91 supplementary education at the Danish School of Journalism. From 1984 student of economics, Copenhagen University.
Born on 22 August 1964. Married to Jørgen Berg, live with their three daughters in Stollig outside Aabenraa, South Jutland.
